Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-09-07. Short version: each new venue gets its first 12 months free, with no credit card or automatic charge. After that, the venue chooses a paid plan to keep the menu active. You keep ownership of your menu content and grant us the permissions needed to host and display it.
The service
QRmenu turns restaurant menus into digital menus with QR codes and hosts them online. A new venue's free 12-month period starts when its first menu is published. The free year includes the features described on the pricing page and does not require a credit card. We may change, add or retire features over time.
At least 30 days before the free year ends, we will notify the account contact about the plans and prices then available. To keep the hosted menu active after the free year, the venue must choose a paid plan. We do not charge automatically unless the venue has explicitly provided a payment method and authorised a subscription. If no plan is chosen, we may unpublish the menu after the free period and retain its content for a reasonable time so it can be restored.
Your content
Menu text, prices, photos and branding you provide remain yours. By submitting content you grant QRmenu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence — with the right to sublicense to the providers we work with — to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt, translate, publish and publicly display that content in connection with operating, providing, securing, improving and promoting the service. This licence lasts for as long as your menu is hosted with us, plus a reasonable period for backups and showcasing the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your menu and for having the rights to any content you upload.
Promotional and sponsored content
During the free year, and on any plan that includes platform branding, QRmenu may display its own branding, service announcements, and promotional or sponsored content of QRmenu or its partners within or alongside hosted menus. We may determine the format, placement and extent of that material and aim to keep it unobtrusive and relevant to diners.
Service data
The service generates technical and usage information — for example page views, QR scans and feature usage. We may use this information, including in aggregated or de-identified form, to operate, analyse, improve and promote the service and to develop new features and offerings. Aggregated or de-identified data does not identify you or your guests. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Menus must not contain unlawful content. We may take down menus that abuse the service (spam, phishing, content unrelated to a real venue's menu).
Availability and liability
We work to keep menus online around the clock, but the service is provided "as is" unless a paid plan expressly states a formal uptime commitment. To the extent permitted by law, QRmenu is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service.
Changes and contact
